Students may also wish to gain commercial endorsement by taking the MCA Yachtmaster Practical assessment in addition to the RYA qualification.

This involves an external MCA/RYA moderator for the assessment.

The cost of this external assessment is to be paid direct to the RYA by the student, in addition to the cost of the course and hire of the Yacht during the assessment.
